Early Years and Family Background
Benzion Netanyahu (born Mileikowsky) was born on March 25, 1910, in Warsaw, partitioned Poland. His father, Nathan Mileikowsky, was a prominent rabbi and Zionist activist who played a pivotal role in the development of the Jewish national movement. Benzion's mother, Sarah Mileikowsky, was a devoted wife and mother.

He went on to teach at Dropsie College in Philadelphia and Cornell University, where he distinguished himself as a renowned historian and scholar of Jewish thought.
