Early Life and Education
George Robert Stephanopoulos was born on February 10, 1961, in Fall River, Massachusetts. He is of Greek descent and was raised in a Greek Orthodox household. Stephanopoulos graduated from Columbia University in 1982 with a degree in political science.
Political Career
After working as a congressional aide, Stephanopoulos served as a top advisor to President Bill Clinton during his first term. He was known for his close relationship with Clinton and was often regarded as one of the president's most trusted aides.
