Chelsea move not a risk for Jadon Sancho, says Enzo Maresca
Sancho has joined Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of £70 million.
The 21-year-old winger has signed a five-year contract with the Blues.
Enzo Maresca, the former coach of Serie A club Parma, does not believe that Jadon Sancho's move to Chelsea is a risk.
Sancho is one of the most highly-rated young players in the world and has been linked with a move to the Premier League for several years.
He finally made the switch this summer, joining Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of £70 million.
Some have questioned whether Sancho is ready for such a big move, but Maresca believes that he has the potential to be a success at Chelsea.
"I don't think it's a risk," Maresca told Goal.
"He's a very good player with a lot of potential.
“He's still young, but he has already shown what he can do at Borussia Dortmund.
"I think he can be a success at Chelsea."
Sancho is expected to make his Chelsea debut in the Premier League game against Crystal Palace on August 14.
